Verdict

Ray Cody won this last year and has booked Rachael Blackmore for War Correspondent, still a maiden on the Flat but rated 81 after a good run at Listowel. Common Practice is rated 83 on the level and will have come on markedly for his debut over timber at Listowel where he made too many mistakes. Surac finished third behind Aghaboy in the latter event while carrying a penalty for his Ballinrobe victory and has plenty to find with BRIDGEHEAD on a line through the winner, who only beat Noel Meade's charge a head on the latter course earlier. Shetland Tony ran well behind the promising Cougar at Gowran and his stable also run Bestaline, who went for €100,000 after scoring on the Flat in the French Provinces in May.
