In depth

Verdict

Na Trachtalai Abu is the only course winner in the line-up though that was over hurdles and he's still a maiden over fences though he's best over this trip on good ground so has to be on the shortlist. Curragh Golan went up 7lb for his victory at Listowel and he couldn't quite cope with the extra at Gowran though only gave way in the closing stages so he should go well. Tisamystery isn't very consistent but was staying on over 2m2f at Downpatrick last time but this can go to CECIL CORBETT (NAP). Gordon Elliott's charge won a beginners' chase over this trip at Kilbeggan in July and though beaten over further last time he was cruising for most of the way before fading from the last. Myles Ahead looked a nice prospect when landing a beginners' event at Clonmel but hasn't done so well in handicaps and is tried in blinkers.
