Verdict

Winning bumper and hurdler Advantage Point was well supported for his chasing bow at Gowran but only got as far as the fourth where he unseated his rider. Brog Ahaon improved markedly over hurdles, landing a Kilbeggan maiden in August, but ECLAIR DE BEAUFEU can make a successful chasing bow. A dual winner over timber, he led into the straight in the County Hurdle at Cheltenham only to unseat his rider at the last. Notebook is another smart hurdler having finished runner-up in a Grade 3 at Thurles in February while Quantatmental has a fitness advantage and his close second to Bay Hill in a Bellewstown handicap hurdle has been boosted by the winner.
