      In depth

A small but select band of young chasers. Indevan completed a chasing hat-trick when overcoming a mistake to land a Tipperary Grade 3 last month for which he's penalised. He'll win more races but doesn't look to have the scope of LOTS OF MEMORIES. Paul Fahey's charge, a close third in a Grade 1 over timber here in April, looked just in need of the run when narrowly beaten by Band Of Blood on his return to action and chasing debut at Cork and gets the vote to gain his first success over fences. Willie Mullins also runs Security Breach who takes a big step-up in class after his victory over Benemeade at Listowel, as does Thunder And Roses after his second at Down Royal. Shanahan's Turn was behind the selection in that Grade 1 over hurdles here but looked a very useful chasing prospect when returning to beat Wounded Warrior in good style last month. Very Wood landed Cheltenham's Albert Bartlett and though also behind Lots Of Memories here in April is another to have impressed on his chasing bow at Galway last month.

Indevan 5-6fav (11-5) Tracked leader, mistake 5th, 2nd halfway, led entering straight and asserted after 2 out, slight mistake last, kept on well run-in, won at Tipperary 2m 4f nov chs (1) in Oct beating Silver Tassie (11-2) by 6l, 7 ran.

Lots Of Memories (IRE) 7-4fav (11-0) Held up, a little keen, mistake 1st, closer order 6th, 3rd from 7 out, on terms from 5 out, slight mistake 3 out, stayed on well without matching winner run-in, 2nd of 7, nk behind Band Of Blood (11-5) at Cork 2m 4f nov chs in Oct.

Shanahan's Turn (IRE) 9-10fav (11-9) Led and disputed, in front and clear when slight mistake 8th, jumped slightly left 6 out and next and soon reduced lead, pushed along to assert approaching last, stayed on well run-in, easily, won at Punchestown 2m 4f beg chs gd in Oct beating Wounded Warrior (11-10) by 4l, 5 ran.

Security Breach (IRE) 2-1 (11-9) Led, tended to jump right, joined 3 out, led again entering straight, ridden and kept on well run-in, won at Listowel 2m 6f beg chs gd in Sep beating Benemeade (11-12) by 2 1/2l, 5 ran.

Very Wood (FR) 1-2fav (11-10) Tracked leaders, 3rd halfway, improved to challenge 4 out, disputed before 2 out, slight mistake last and soon ridden briefly in 3rd, travelled well to lead entering straight, ridden to assert straight and drifted right, kept on well closing stages, won at Galway 2m 6f beg chs in Oct beating The Job Is Right (11-12) by 1 1/2l, 11 ran.

Thunder And Roses (IRE) 4-1 (11-12) Tracked leader in 2nd throughout, ridden 2 out, no impression on winner from last, kept on same pace, 2nd of 7, 3l behind Apache Stronghold (11-12) at Down Royal 2m 4f beg chs in Oct.
