In depth

Verdict

They don't come much more open than this. Minella Clonmel takes a big step up in trip after scoring over 2m3f at Cork but ROYAL REVEILLE has won between the flags so the fact that he's been running well over much shorter is a bonus and he is taken to win this for Ted and Ruby Walsh. Cool Oscar was beaten a long way into second when making his debut over the trip at Limerick and doesn't win often enough, while Katie's Jem's two successes have come on testing ground and she may find this too lively. Back Of The Pack made a tremendous start to her chasing career with a hat-trick in October and if able to transfer that progress to hurdles would look very well handicapped. Battling Boru has never raced beyond the minimum trip in his career so it's asking a lot for him to carry his big weight to victory in this very tough contest.
