Verdict

THE STORYTELLER (NAP) started out with a good run over hurdles then later won a Downpatrick bumper in May. He reverted to hurdling at Down Royal earlier this month and was going easily when falling in the race won by his odds-on stable companion Monbeg Notorious. That looked a much stronger race than this and he can gain compensation. Impressive winning point-to-pointer Call The Taxie made the odds-on Burndown pull out the stops at Wexford and there's plenty more to come while Coeur Joyeux, who has been alternating between hurdles and bumpers, may do better now tackling less testing conditions. Turcagua had a very long time off before running moderately in a bumper here in April but has a fine jumping pedigree and looks certain to do better.
