The last two winners of this very moderate contest over the banks course, Shin A Vee and WHITE HEAD, have at least proved themselves on the track unlike the majority of their rivals. There was nothing to suggest the former could win this when arriving a year ago and he went off at 50/1. He may have been fortunate as he was being challenged at the last when his closest rival fell and he pulled up on his comeback between the flags last month. White Head pulled up in three consecutive races under Rules after his success in 2008 but will have come on for a recent run in a point at Tallanstown though the winner was well beaten here on Tuesday. Glenark has been improving with each run between the flags and has been aimed at this since landing a maiden for mares at Castletown earlier this month. Cool Warrior has been in good form recently but found this trip far too short when 30 lengths behind the winner a year ago. Moscow Johnny has won once in 17 starts between the flags but has run well here in the past and his trainer will have him right.
