Verdict

BATTLEFORD was purchased by the Wylie's after falling at the last on his debut between the flags at Loughanmore in April. He'd just been headed by Lucky Pass and the winner, who has also joined Willie Mullins, is unbeaten in two bumpers. A successful debut looks on the cards though Annihilate chased home the impressive Avellino at Down Royal, albeit at a safe distance, and will continue to improve. Bright Tomorrow showed promise here last April and though a beaten favourite on his reappearance at Naas showed that there are races to be won with him. A Rated was very impressive when landing a point at Lingstown and is definitely one to keep an eye on. Tayto Park was due to run over hurdles at Fairyhouse yesterday.
