          Verdict

          NOVALIST has won his last couple of starts by a narrow margin and may be up to defying a 6lb rise in this low grade cavalry charge. He gets the token vote ahead of Bay Of Fires, not beaten far at Thirsk last week and recent Catterick third Lady Del Sol. Orwellian finally got off the mark in soft ground at Ayr on his latest start while Ryedane won an amateur's race over 5f at the same track last month. Mango Music has slipped down the weights and may figure also taking a drop in class.
