Verdict

Howzer Black won in a higher grade at Nottingham in September and had earlier beaten Baryshnikov a length-and-a-quarter at Ripon, though the latter is 9lb better off today and had no luck in-running when a length-and-a-half behind the always-prominent Spirit Dancer at York last month. Yarmouth runner-up Dubai Souq should be the pick of the two Godolphin runners with Stefano Cherchi taking off 3lb but there is more than enough stamina in the pedigree of the fast-improving BARSHAA to suggest that the Crisfords’ three-year-old will enjoy this step up in trip.
