          Verdict

          A Group 1 winner in Australia, Linton has had just the one run for Marco Botti at Meydan back in March. He may need today's outing and stablemate PATENTAR is preferred. The latter returned from a lay-off with a five-length victory over a subsequent winner on the Turf at Lingfield and further progress is expected from the Teofilo colt. Penitent is best with some cut nowadays but finished well ahead of Tawhid when landing a Group 3 earlier in the year. But he's been beaten since by York third Glen Moss and the latter should go well along with Listed winner Muteela. Cape Factor is another better with some give underfoot and Dream Walker looks out-matched on these terms.
