In depth

Verdict

UP STICKS AND GO is having a first try over 7f but should be suited on breeding. He sets a decent standard on his form over shorter trips and, with conditions unlikely to cause a problem, looks the one to beat. Knighted has shown ability in a couple of starts over 6f but his stable isn't in the best of form. Mametz Wood's latest third came in a Class 6 on the all-weather and newcomer Diplomacy may be a bigger danger given he's a full brother to two winners, though he'll probably thrive over middle-distances next year.
