Verdict
Dropping down into this company might be just what's needed to get JUST THE TONIC to score and Mick Channon's charge should take this seller ahead of Wijikura and Drinking Buddy. Purely as the highest rated of these the selection seems to have an outstanding chance. His last performance in handicap company is a little off putting as was his latest maiden effort but previous runs have suggested he's better than those have shown and if he doesn't win this his future must be looking bleak. Wijikura has been solid at best in two maiden starts and it could be argued that he actually took a step backward on his second run. His bare form suggests he has a little to find on the pick but he is entitled to improve and should at least challenge. Drinking Buddy's two efforts in plating company put him in the prize money here but make a winning chance doubtful and with the others only making less than limited appeal Just The Tonic should score.
