        In depth

        Verdict

        Tencendur and Startolini look the pick of the experienced horses and we will side with the first named, the best of the newcomers could be High Style. Mark Johnston's yard is still a bit hit and miss but Tencendur is certainly going the right way. Following a promising debut at Bath, he made Avertuoso pull out all the stops at Musselburgh. With further progression likely he looks the one to beat. Startolini wasn't beaten far on her Pontefract debut and the winner has since franked the form. As with the selection there should be more to come and it is hard to see this one out of the frame. Richard Hannon doesn't send too many runners up to Redcar and so the Queen's High Style should be watched very closely in the betting. James Given's Sophie's Dream is another to check on in the market, but on this occasion we will side with known form and give our vote to Tecendur.
