In depth

Verdict

Menin Gate has struggled in soft going since completng a double under Brodie Hampson while Bawaader is unproven on the ground. Temper Trap is preferred to stablemate Kyoto Star and Royal Shaheen went close in soft ground at Ripon two runs ago but it was also testing underfoot when BAD RABBIT finished runner-up over track and trip on his penultimate start so he gets the vote. Edgar Allan Poe has not been at his best but is worth a second glance with Serena Brotherton on board.
