Star Shield is now 6lb higher than when scoring at Ascot in July with Breanski back in third. The latter re-opposes on better terms having won twice over 7f subsequently and drops in class for this along with IRV. Micky Hammond’s charge faced a tough task bidding for a hat-trick in Class 2 company at York last time but gets another chance on his earlier double at the same track. Casement carries a 5lb penalty for winning over 7f at Epsom last week but Hayadh is back on the same mark as when winning the Hunt Cup at Thirsk back in May and could go well.
