In depth

Verdict

Queen Of Kalahari has been making hay on the all-weather tracks since September and has been raised 25lb since the first of those five wins. She’s won on the surface before while Buccaneers Vault finished ahead of Magical Effect when scoring over track and trip last year but the latter re-opposes on more favourable terms. Barrington is usually thereabouts without winning and Galloway Hills won off a higher mark at York last year but UPSTAGING finished a creditable fourth in last year’s Ayr Bronze Cup and will go close if repeating that effort on his first outing for Tim Easterby’s yard.
