Verdict
It would be madness not to side with Prince Hamlet in this cracking sprint, Glasshoughton is feared most and we¿ll be keeping a close eye on Wyatt Earp. Brian Smart has always believed that his Fantastic Light colt had the potential to make up into a smart three year-old and he showed just why when hacking up over seven furlongs at Musselburgh last month when wearing blinkers for the first time. He tackles this trip for the first time this afternoon which has to be a concern against experienced handicappers but he pulled really hard and showed plenty of speed last time suggesting that it won¿t be a problem; more of an issue is his revised mark but he¿s only had six starts and looks progressive; he should go close. Ingleby Arch is on a winning mark but hasn¿t won on turf for a while, Pacific Pride is undoubtedly well handicapped but only has a modest strike rate, First Order is more effective over the minimum whilst Cornus and Babyshambles look high enough in the weights. Alexander Hurricane ran well last time but course specialist Elkhorn could emerge as a bigger threat despite the fact that he needs to take another step forwards to win from this mark in this company. Wyatt Earp is chucked in on last season¿s form and a revival couldn¿t be ruled out by any means but this year¿s form has left something to be desired and he remains best watched until either showing more or until attracting market support. Glasshoughton has never won over six or from a mark this high but did look to be on the way back over this trip at Pontefract last time and has to be feared on that showing; however, we¿ll take Prince Hamlet to play the leading role on this stage.
