Last year's winner Head Space has to be a leading contender with the Ruth Carr yard enjoying such a good time of things, the 6-y-o arriving on the back of a Doncaster success last time to confirm his own wellbeing. He's always been a bit of a character and should go well but DUKE COSIMO is preferred. He too scored on Town Moor last time when coming with a sweeping late run to gain the spoils in a large-field sprint and the only concern with this follow-up attempt is that he hasn't been seen since that success in mid-May. However, he's lightly-raced for a 4-y-o and could well be up to defying not only his absence but also a 5lb rise in the ratings. Last-time winner Gran Canaria Queen is a shortlist option and keep an eye out for the 3-y-o Woodland Girl against her elders on her first run for well over a year. She improved out of all recognition to land a nursery on her fourth and final juvenile start and she's worth checking in the market. The consistent Avonmore Star is also noted.
