In depth

Verdict

Some interesting newcomers take to the stage with the likes of Eastern Dragon, Red Highlites and Lucy Minaj all catching the eye on debut. The market should prove informative regarding their chances. However, those with experience still enjoy a notable advantage at this stage of the juvenile campaign and BRAZILIAN CLOWN is taken to land the spoils, stepping down considerably in grade after finishing a respectable sixth of eight in the Lily Agnes Stakes at the Chester Cup meeting. The Dascombe yard has really found its stride in the last couple of weeks, with the two-year-olds performing especially well. Hiddon Coin showed enough on debut at Thirsk for David O'Meara to suggest that he'll be in with a shout here with progress highly likely.
