        Verdict

        HAJJAM (NAP) was well supported for this last year and overcame trouble in-running to catch Danielsflyer close home. Both have continued to run well with the winner just getting the vote as he's since won on heavy going at Ayr and ran very well in the Victoria Cup at Ascot last time. Citron Major only won an amateurs' race on fast ground at York and has never scored on this sort of going but Byron's Choice scored on good to soft as a two-year-old and completed a hat-trick last summer. The latter returned to form at Beverley a couple of weeks ago but Bambino Lola, whose three victories have all been on quick going, hasn't run since July last year and this looks a competitive event. Ulshaw Bridge is only 1lb higher than when successful in a Doncaster handicap a year ago and warmed up with a good run at Newcastle.
