      Verdict

      Bread and Maureb are open to improvement but didn't show a great deal on debut. Lieutenant Kaffee was biting off more than he could chew in the Superlative Stakes at Newmarket last month but had won his first two starts at Nottingham and Haydock while Buccaneers Vault has yet to finish out of the first three, though has been beaten in handicaps the last twice. RUSSIAN PUNCH, fourth last time in a Listed race at Sandown, appears favoured by the weights and can add to his victory over 6f at this track in May.
