ALLUX BOY’s recent victory came on Tapeta but he is equally effective on Turf and can overcome a 6lb rise in the weights. Muqarred is much better on the all-weather but Motahassen makes some appeal, especially if there is some rain. Machiavelli hasn’t been disgraced the last twice in Ireland and Denis Hogan hasn’t sent him here for a holiday so he also goes on the short-list while it’s unusual to see a Fahey runner near the foot of the weights in a race like this so Sosian warrants a second look.
