Verdict

The winners of the last two renewals have another crack today but last year's victor Gap Princess is out of sorts at present. In contrast, 2009 winner Red Cape bounced back to form at Newcastle last time and remains on a winning mark despite a 5lb rise. Epsom winner Baldemar couldn't cope with the extra 6lb last time and Flowing Cape has struggled since scoring at Catterick in May. PEPPER LANE is still improving on the recent evidence of an easy win at Redcar and a 7lb rise may not prevent her following-up in her current mood. Clockmaker could prove best of the rest.
