Verdict
Mark Johnston won this last year with a three-year-old but Casila has been looking woefully one-paced and the application of blinkers here smacks of desperation. Tropical Bachelor is tough and consistent and, like Pertuis, a previous course and distance winner. But this may be on the sharp side nowadays while Stormin Tom is having his first try over 1m4f. QUEST OF COLOUR also steps up in distance but she's a lightly-raced filly who still has a bit of scope and she won on similar ground at Hamilton around this time last year. She gets a tentative vote with Bogardus looking best of the rest.
