Italian Beauty won twice over shorter trips last year but has something to prove over today’s distance. Canford Crossing has a similar chance as the latter at the weights but is another unproven over this far so a tentative vote goes to SAMSONITE. Tony Coyle’s charge has a bit to find with the above on these terms but won over 1m2f at Pontefract last year and can take advantage if his main rivals fail to last home. The remainder have a tougher task on the face of it but Stone Quercus has slipped down the weights and was placed at Nottingham last month.
