Verdict
Opening Ceremony took advantage of a lenient mark when landing a handicap at Beverley on Thursday but a 6lb penalty makes life tougher for Richard Fahey's mare and, with the three-year-olds Bazelle and Shamrock Bay unproven against older rivals, preference is for Mistress Twister. David Barron's filly showed that her turn would not be far away when chasing home Trew Class at York last month and has an obvious chance off just a 2lb higher mark today. Stablemate Dispol Veleta has given little sign of encouragement of late and of more interest may be In The Pink, who is 4lbs lower than when scoring at Redcar in May but has yet to prove her stamina for today's trip. Gallery Breeze has claims on her best form although a bigger danger may come from Bazelle, who looks a progressive three-year-old, but, along with Shamrock Bay, is unproven against older horses. Mistress Twister looks to be coming into form though and she gets the vote.
