    Verdict

Serena Brotherton has won four of the last six so San Cassiano is respected as the eleven-times winner is now on his lowest ever mark on his 81st start. VAN MILDERT (NAP), a winner over hurdles last month, gained her first victory on the Flat in a similar race to this at Ayr earlier this month when beating today's rival Chauvelin two lengths. Amy Waugh again takes the ride and Ken Slack's mare can defy a 6lb penalty though the runner-up is entitled to finish closer. Merchant Of Medici was in excellent form at this time last summer and is now just 1lb higher than his last winning mark while Pertuis has scored over the course and distance from a much higher mark.
