Verdict

Morty, a dual track winner, has been looking a few pounds high after completing an all-weather double in the autumn. GULLANE ONE is a consistent performer at this level and gained victory number seven when making all here last month for which a 3lb rise may not prevent a double. Round The Island, who was just under two lengths behind in fourth, will be 4lb better off so should be thereabouts but Highjacked is best with give in the ground so could do with some rain. Blackjack battled to a short-head victory at Thirsk and didn't get the run of the race at Doncaster next time.
