In depth

Verdict

Hattan and Nakheel are sure to be popular in this the feature race of the day but we will take a chance and nominate Championship Point to land the prize. The selection won the Predominate Stakes at Goodwood last season but he has not really gone on from there. He is fit after running in some competitive races in Dubai and as he normally goes well at this time of the year he gets the nod. Hattan disappointing in the winter Derby at Lingfield last month but he is better than he showed that day and he has been running well in Dubai over the winter so it would not be a surprise to see him go very close. Nakheel was a little disappointing when last seen at Kempton but prior to that he had been in fantastic form. He has more on his plate today but he remains lightly-raced and he is not without hope. Acropolis may prove best of the rest but this should lie between the top three in the market and we will give the nomination to Championship Point.
