        Verdict

        Bright Applause beat FOSSGATE narrowly in this a year ago when receiving 2lb but the runner-up is 7lb better off and James Bethell's veteran, who will have been targeted at this, can take his revenge and gain his seventh victory on the track. Tetbury is a major threat as the former French-trained son of Giant's Causeway has gradually improved for David O'Meara and looks on a mark from which he will be winning soon. Choisan is 1lb lower than when scoring over the track and trip a year ago though he hasn't been in the best of form.
