Verdict
Captain Lars has been winning plating races on the all-weather this year but Gamesome has a shout on his recent second at Beverley. King Crimson scored at Bath last time and can race off the same mark with an apprentice’s allowance taken into account. He’s preferred to Dapper Man but PEARL NOIR arrives in fine form having won at Thirsk last week and Scott Dixon’s sprinter gets the vote to land a rare hat-trick having won the last two renewals of this off higher marks.
