Verdict

Roman River comes here with a penalty after dropping back to this trip at Haydock and winning comfortably. Roundhay Park won over the course and distance in April and went up 9lb but he hasn't run badly in similar class to this on his last two starts. Tim Easterby continues in excellent form and Mushahadaat, a maiden winner at Kempton for Brian Meehan in October, won't lack for fitness on her stable debut. MIDSUMMER KNIGHT is very consistent which is why the assessor can't drop him in the ratings. He ran another fine race at Chester on Saturday and his rider's claim can just swing it his way. Angel Force hasn't been running badly but looks a few pounds high in the ratings.
