Verdict
BARKSTON ASH is going from strength-to-strength and gets the nod to complete a hat-trick in May. Eric Alston's charge is 7lb higher than when completing a double at Warwick but looks to have plenty going for him on his favoured fast ground. Jamie Spencer was on board when Proper Charlie attempted to make all over Warwick's 7f on his return to action and takes the ride again over this shorter trip. The combination look a threat but Finn's Rainbow will find this tougher than winning moderate handicaps on Southwell's Fibresand. Maggie Mey won a C&D nursery in August with Normandy Maid behind but is now 10lb higher and the latter may prove more of a threat as she didn't get the clearest of runs on her return at Pontefract.
