          Verdict

          Webbow had a good season last year, has run well in both outings this term and Tim Easterby's gelding should be thereabouts again but he may find conditions too testing and a better bet looks to be the in-form Osteopathic Remedy, who gets the vote over Exit Smiling. The last mentioned has run better in his last two starts having disappointed behind another of today's rivals Blue Spinnaker at York previously but he is probably better on faster ground so looks best watched. Bolodenka has yet to prove his effectiveness on a soft surface, while Mountain Pride is less exposed than most of these but is inconsistent. Kevin Ryan's Cobo Bay could probably do with some help from the handicapper and preference is for Osteopathic Remedy, who has done little wrong this term, handles plenty of cut in the ground and he gets the vote to resume winning ways.
