        Verdict

        Rosy Ryan won this last year off a higher mark with Whitkirk back in fifth though neither have looked like winning recently. Sultan Baybars went close over 7f last time but has just the one win in 19 starts and Give It Some Teddy is preferred having won at York in June and placing in a higher grade at Hamilton a week ago. Pumaflor finally took advantage of a slide down the weights and scored over today’s trip at Pontefract recently while THE EAGLE’S NEST was beaten only a head at Chelmsford a fortnight ago. The latter has yet to win on Turf but Rae Guest’s charge is taken to put that right today allowed to compete off a 5lb lower mark back on this surface.
