      Verdict

Four of these are previous course and distance winners but Paul Hanagan rides George Bowen in preference to the returning Right Touch. Along with Richard Fahey, three other trainers are double-handed with Danny Tudhope choosing the once-useful Out Do ahead of David O’Meara’s other runner Intisaab. Above The Rest ended last season with a wide-margin victory at Chester, though that was over 7f. PIPERS NOTE has won five times here in nine previous visits, including this race in 2015. Now with the in-form Ruth Carr, he ran a cracker when third in a Listed contest at Doncaster on his reappearance and can reverse October running at York with Intisaab on 5lb better terms.
