In depth

Verdict

Martinstown made a winning debut at Cork in May last year but didn't reappear until March when beaten a long way on heavy ground in a Naas Listed contest. Fleetfoot had some very strong juvenile form and made a successful reappearance on heavy going in April but hasn't been seen subsequently. Genuine Article landed a Killarney maiden before a good run in a Galway handicap where he stayed on nicely but National Emblem disappointed in two starts in early summer. SHAYZANN, a winner at Naas in July, wasn't disgraced in Group 3 company at Leopardstown last month and the drop in class can see him back on the winning trail. Cristal Clere was engaged in the 3.10 at Tipperary yesterday.
