    Verdict

It's hardly surprising that MR SMITH (NAP) runs here with a penalty after his demolition job at Galway on Sunday. Charles Byrnes' grey, who had won on the Flat at Carlisle in June after more than two years off, galloped his rivals into submission at Galway and will go up by very much more than his 5lb extra. Gaillimh Abu, who won a maiden here last July, was having only his second subsequent run when performing better than his finishing position suggests at Galway on Wednesday so expect a better run while Black Label also ran last week, finishing third over 3m at Perth where he led until two out. He was earlier a long way behind Global Racing at Limerick though that was his first race for new connections and he should get much closer to Gavin Cromwell's consistent stayer. Doldido has had a break since staying on over 3m at Cork in May and further rain would do his chances no harm while Holly Flight has been in good form over fences and is 4lb lower over hurdles.
