In depth

Verdict

Walter De La Mare's two victories at Sligo last autumn were gained on soft ground and he's not exactly set the world alight over timber during the winter. Confidence got off the mark at the tenth times of asking at Dundalk and a 10lb rise looks excessive but CRY FOR THE MOON had dropped to a very lowly mark when just failing to catch Keep It Cool at Dundalk and is just 2lb higher here. Jim Culloty's charge gets the vote though any further rain would greatly enhance the chances of Driveheron, a winner on soft ground at Sligo in September who ran quite well in similar conditions over timber.
