Verdict

Well beaten in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham in March, CAUSE OF CAUSES tries his luck over the larger obstacles. A cut above these over timber, Gordon Elliott's charge should go close on his chasing bow. Won In The Dark is another multiple winner over hurdles having his first start over fences but The Real Article makes more appeal as he went close in a novice chase at Leopardtsown on his penultimate start. Tom Horn has shown promise in a couple of outings over fences and Maller Tree is preferred to stablemate Beachdale Lad.
