Verdict

It's almost a year since WEST BURMA made his debut over an extended 2m1f at Ballinrobe where he looked in need of a stiffer test. He should get that here and can start making up for lost time. Silverfort improved on his opening effort when a respectable fourth over this track and trip in May while The Bronc led for a long way over two miles at Down Royal and the former point-to-pointer should be better suited by this trip. It's difficult to work up enthusiasm for the remainder though Derek O'Connor's presence suggests Optical Confusion may be capable of better after running out at Dromahane.
