Intyre Trail is at the top of his game and chasing a hat-trick after wins at Tipperary and Limerick. Peter Fahey's six-year-old carries a penalty for his latest success, however, and is now 7lb worse off than when beaten a length-and-three-quarters by Via Mia at Naas last month. The latter has hardly advertised that form since, however, while Landsdowne's fortunes have nose-dived since finishing third at Limerick in April and he was a long way behind subsequent Down Royal fourth Pimlico Sound at Cork last time. It's almost three years since VIGANO last visited the winner's circle but Jaclyn Tyrrell's gelding shaped nicely on his reappearance at Listowel and will strip fitter here. Well treated on his best form, he gets a tentative vote to end his barren spell today.
