Clear Quartz refused to come out of the stalls on his intended reappearance at Gowran but it was a different matter at Killarney last week where he was a very convincing winner. He's been hit with a 10lb rise but could still be ahead of the handicapper and his rider claims 4lb. PALLASMORE LASS (NAP) is a 13-race maiden but she's gone very close at Cork the last twice and is on the same mark as last week's narrow defeat.
