Verdict

Midnight Run was in the process of running an excellent race in the Grade 1 Drinmore at Fairyhouse last November when falling three out. He reappeared with a victory on the Flat in July and might just have been feeling the exertions when beaten six lengths over fences by ENNISKERRY (NAP) at Galway. The winner jumped superbly on his chasing bow and there were two subsequent winners behind. Sole Pretender has won half of his 18 races and broke a blood vessel when well beaten at this level at Galway where he started favourite. Sit Down Lucy beat the in-form Hallowed Star on her chasing debut at Galway while Whosgotyanow had Barnacullia a long way back in fourth when placed at Listowel.
