In depth

Verdict

Point-to-point winner VELVET ELVIS made a decent start under Rules when fourth in a bumper at Punchestown with several of these behind. He may come out best and can confirm running with Erica's Joy. The latter is proving unpredictable having finished runner-up at Sligo earlier when Justbecool, disappointing subsequently, was third. Chemical Energy is a full brother to a winner over hurdles and is a newcomer to note along with Mare Quimby.
