      Verdict

      Having won the last two of these, Aidan O'Brien will be hoping Minister Of War can improve enough from his Gowran debut to continue the sequence though ONCE UPON A RIVER finished in front of him that day and can do so again. Ger Lyons' colt started favourite but was inconvenienced by racing wide before staying on and can recoup losses. The winner is trained by Joseph O'Brien, whose Canters Well will improve from his run behind Point Lonsdale at the Curragh when Verbal Sparring finished mid-division.
