In depth

Verdict

All of these step up in trip and Adelaide River should go close having finished runner-up in the Group 2 Beresford at the Curragh. He’s preferred to stablemate Covent Garden but another Irish raider in GAN TEORAINN gets the vote on today’s testing going. Jim Bolger’s filly was no match for the winner in the Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac at Longchamp but still ran a big race for second and this extra distance looks sure to bring further progress. Dubai Mile also ran well when runner-up in the Royal Lodge at Newmarket while novice winner Arrest is upped in class along with Ndaawi, who beat Cite D'Or in a conditions race last time. Listed winner Strako is preferred to Sylphid of the home team.
