Verdict
Although disappointing on his reappearance on the Polytrack at Lingfield, Roger Charlton's horses have tended to improve greatly for their first start of the campaign so Alderney Race is given another chance in a weak affair with Farewell Gift and Isaz rated the main dangers. Andrew Balding's Indiana Blues has the highest rating of these and has to be respected but the stable's horses have been rather quiet so far this term and he is probably best watched. Henry Candy has his string in fine form so Isaz is worth a second look with improvement likely for his reappearance. Richard Hannon¿s Farewell Gift, who ran with credit on his return at Newmarket last month, holds more solid claims. Stablemate Dafore and David Elsworth's Tipsy Lady, a daughter of Intikhab, make most appeal among the newcomers but the vote goes to Alderney Race, who is taken to step up on his Lingfield effort.
