Verdict

The trio with experience have already shown a decent level of form so one of the newcomers will need to be above-average to take this. Of that latter group, Damage Control is of particular appeal as he’s a son of Zoffany out of a dam who has produced Flat winners with all of her offspring to so far race. SHANDOZ (NAP) is also related to plenty of winners and Roger Varian’s Royal Lodge entry made a promising start when only beaten half-a-length over this trip at Newmarket when the first three pulled well clear. Sea Trout Reach was staying on over 7f at Doncaster and is another likely improver but Mambo Nights had already run twice before his close second at Newbury behind a promising debutant.
